My passion as a designer is texture - the aesthetic interest that texture, through stitch and manipulation brings to a fabric and its tactile nature. I enjoy the process of building up or cutting away layers to create something new, and like to use unusual materials to create things that at first don’t seem possible, making the original materials almost unrecognisable. I am fascinated by light, and how it can transform a design depending on the direction of the light source - a completely different (but equally pleasing) visual effect can often be created by holding a piece up to the light.

I think recycling is incredibly important, especially where plastic is concerned so I was delighted when I discovered that Bubblewrap could be dyed and turned into beautiful things rather than get thrown away - If you have any Bubblewrap (especially with large bubbles) that you no longer have a use for, please contact me!
